YouWare started in March 2025 as one of the simplest “vibe coding” tools around: describe a website or small app, and an AI agent builds and hosts it for you. It grew quickly on that idea — past a million users by YouWare’s own count — and added a real backend, a mobile app and a way to show the AI your screen. Visit the homepage today, though, and you will find a different pitch entirely: “Your AI partner,” producing slide decks, research reports and spreadsheets. So which product are you actually paying for? We looked at both.

The short answer

Building a small site, tool or community app without code: YouWare is a good pick. The Pro plan’s built-in backend and custom domains are included in the $20, not billed on top.

Wanting AI to make your decks and reports: it works, but this is the newest part of the product and competes with general assistants you may already pay for.

A developer who wants full control: look at Replit instead. YouWare lets you download your code on Pro, but it is built for people who would rather not touch it.

Just curious: the free plan gives up to 300 credits a month and five projects, and there is a seven-day trial of the paid features — you can start free on YouWare.

What YouWare is in 2026

There are now two products under one login.

The app and website builder is the original. You type what you want — a quiz game, a restaurant site, a booking page — and YouWare writes a React app, hosts it and gives you a shareable link. You can then refine it by chat, by clicking on the page to edit it visually, or in a code editor. Since January 2026 it has shipped YouBase, a built-in backend with user sign-in, a database, file storage, a secrets vault for API keys and optional server functions, so apps can store data and handle accounts without a separate Supabase or Firebase setup.

The AI work partner is the new front door. The homepage now leads with presentations, reports, analysis, data and websites, and describes a team of specialist agents — a project manager, researcher, data analyst, writer and designer, and a reviewer that flags low-confidence items before the work comes back. You can pick the underlying model (the homepage names Gemini 3 Pro, Claude Sonnet and GPT-5-Codex), upload PDF, PowerPoint, Word, Excel or CSV files, and export decks as PowerPoint or PDF.

YouWare pricing in 2026

YouWare has a free plan and two paid tiers, each cheaper on yearly billing. These are the prices on YouWare’s pricing page today.

Two details worth knowing before you pick a tier. First, credits cost almost exactly the same on every plan — roughly half a cent each on yearly billing, whether you buy Pro or Ultra. Ultra is not a bulk discount; you pay for the extra features (compare them on YouWare’s pricing page), mainly unlimited projects, private access and opting out of data training. Second, YouWare does not publish how many credits a given prompt uses, so it is hard to predict how far 3,000 will go until you have built something.

YouWare’s documentation still lists an older Ultra plan at $200 a month. The live pricing page is what you are charged; the figures above come from there.

How credits, rollover and Credit Care work

  • What costs credits: anything the AI does — generating a project, adding a feature, editing code or the layout by prompt. Browsing, manual code edits, publishing and downloading code do not.
  • Rollover: on monthly plans, unused credits roll over for one month. On yearly plans they last for the rest of your billing year. Extra credits you get when upgrading last 30 days.
  • Top-ups: only available on yearly plans. Credits bought as top-ups are valid for two years.
  • Credit Care: YouWare’s refund for bad AI output. If a change goes wrong, you rewind to an earlier version and get back the credits spent on it. Pro includes 30 of these a month (60 on the larger tier), Ultra 100, Free one. Rewinding deletes every version after the restore point, so use it before you build on a broken change.
  • Free trial: seven days, with 300 credits and three Credit Cares, once per account. If you cancel, trial credits expire when the trial ends.

The features that make it worth trying

FeatureWhat it doesWhy it matters
YouBaseSign-in, database, storage, secrets and server functions built into your projectReal apps with accounts and saved data, no separate backend bill
CoViewRecord your screen and talk through what is wrong; the AI watches the recordingFixing layout and animation problems without describing them in words

BoostOne-click polish of an existing page’s structure, copy and layoutA fast first pass on a rough build

Limitations to weigh

  1. The product is changing direction. A homepage built around decks and reports suggests YouWare’s investment is shifting. The builder is still fully there, but if it is what you are buying, it is no longer the headline.
  2. Credits are opaque. No published cost per action, so heavy iteration can use more than you expect. Credit Care softens this but has a monthly cap.
  3. Data training. Opting out of data training is listed as an Ultra benefit. The homepage separately says files you upload for a task are never used to train models. If you are building with sensitive data, read the privacy policy before choosing a plan below Ultra.
  4. Downgrading switches YouBase off. Drop back to Free and the backend is disabled immediately; YouWare keeps the data for 30 days.
  5. Code download has conditions. Pro only, and only for projects you started yourself, not remixes.

The verdict

YouWare is at its best doing what it was built for: letting someone with no coding background get a working, hosted site or small app live in an afternoon, then grow it with a proper backend without a second bill. At $17–$20 a month for Pro, with the backend, custom domains and code download included, that is fair value. The new work-partner side is capable but crowded, and not yet a reason to choose YouWare over an assistant you already have.
